L.A. Noire 2 - Fans Eagerly Awaiting This Sequel

The question that many avid gamers are asking is whether there will ever be a L.A. Noire 2. After all, L.A. Noire was a runaway success last year, having sold more than 5 million games so far. This crime thriller set in 1947 Los Angeles managed to grab a great deal of attention (and market share) because of its unique content. As a matter of fact, this game was even featured at the Tribeca Film Festival soon after its launch because of the high production values it employed.

An Australian company Team, Bondi under the leadership of very talented Brendan McNamara, created this crime thriller (unfortunately, the company no longer exists). It had a unique feel to it thanks to its visual style that pays homage to the mobster movies made in the film noir style of the 1940s and part of the 50s. In fact, many players even prefer to play this game in black and white. The 1940's music used as background score also gives the game a feeling of authenticity.

People who play this game get to take on the persona of a Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) detective called Cole Phelps who has to solve a number of intriguing cases. There is a lot of detective work to do done, including visiting crime scenes and interrogating suspects. Players get to immerse themselves in a world of moral ambiguity where glamour, wealth are impossible to be separated from vice and corruption.

The original video game got much of its realism thanks to the use of MotionScan technology that used 32 cameras to capture the actors' facial expressions from every angle. In fact, this technology is crucial to the success of the game since it enables the player to gauge the thoughts and intentions of people merely by looking at their expressions. It is believed that the makers of L.A. Noire 2 will extend this technology to capture whole body movement as well.

Its publisher, Rockstar Games, hasn't yet made any plans concerning this hugely popular video game yet. It is a fact that lots of popular video games have sequels that do very well like their predecessors. However, Rockstar is keeping its plans firmly under wraps for the present. Even so, there are lots of people eagerly waiting for. If Rockstar were to launch this game then they would certainly have another winner on their hands.

Die hard gamers are eagerly awaiting the launch of L.A. Noire 2, the sequel to a highly popular crime thriller video game. Its publisher, Rockstar Games would certainly like to have another bestseller.
